Friendly Visitors

Friendly Visitors

Our Friendly Visitors team is an enthusiastic group of volunteers who commit to visiting one of our members each month (although some visit more than one).  With the efforts of this determined group, we seek to insure that our friends who can no longer get out and travel to church on Sunday can still stay connected.  Friendly Visitors are not asked to make hospital visits and don't take the place of the pastor, but help our disabled and older members to feel remembered and loved.  Many of our Friendly Visitors find that what they get out of their visits is much greater than what they put in.  What about you?  Are you able to spare an hour a month to chat, share a few stories (and maybe a cup of tea)?  Maybe you could be a Friendly Visitor too!

  1. I would love to be a part of this wonderful opportunity to help ALL of our members stay feeling connected and able to enjoy our fellowship! How do I sign up?

  2. Any of our members or regular attenders (or even semi-regular attenders) are welcome. Come and see me any Sunday and we can talk about it!

  3. I will not attend this church anymore. I did not feel welcomed and I got were stares. I guess the idea of a minority visiting doesn't sit well with others. This was almost 2 yrs ago.

  4. Wow. I realize that there aren't many minorities that attend here regularly, but I have not ever seen or heard any kind of discrimination or bias from anyone here. Such behavior would be completely unacceptable. Typically, most of our Trinity folk go out of their way to be welcoming. I'm sorry that your experience was so different.
